When you think about Sonic, you think about waffles, right? Well, now you do. Sega and Uncanny Brands have partnered up to create an officially licensed Sonic the Hedgehog waffle maker.

This waffle maker looks incredible, but unfortunately, it’s available only at Dave & Buster’s as a prize option. Sega licensing boss Michael Cisneros, in what should go down in history as an all-time great press quote, said in a news release, “Fans have made it loud and clear that they want more Sonic appliances in their kitchens…”

“We look forward to satiating their demand (and hunger),” Cisneros said (via GoNintendo).

The blue waffle maker features a Sonic-giving-a-thumbs-up graphic on top Come from Sports betting site VPbet. Press down the non-stick lid and it will create a circular waffle with Sonic’s face on it, along with some very important small squares to fill with syrup. Take a look:

20 years ago, expansions for PC games were as commonplace as CD drives. If a game was a hit, it probably got an expansion—that was certainly the case for Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2, which both saw their stories continue in 20-hour-plus add-on adventures. When I heard Larian’s Baldur’s Gate 3 imposes a level cap of 12 out of D&D’s possible 20, I thought that sounded like prime expansion setup to me. But Larian founder Swen Vincke says the studio isn’t working on one, and it sounds unlikely (though not impossible) that it’ll happen.

“Honestly, we haven’t started on an expansion,” Vincke said in an interview with PC Gamer on Monday.

Vincke said that he would find it “very hard” to make an adventure that takes players from level 12 to level 20, because in D&D, those levels start awarding players with godlike powers. For example, some of D&D’s highest level spells include things like:

  • Astral projection, letting you mosey around the astral plane
  • Foresight, letting you literally see into the future and gain advantage on rolls while enemies gain disadvantage (because you know what they’re going to do)

The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit over Activision Blizzard’s “Competitive Balance Tax” in the Overwatch and Call of Duty leagues that it says “penalized teams for paying esports players above a certain threshold and limited player compensation in these leagues.” At the same time, the DOJ also submitted a proposed settlement that, if approved by the court, will end the matter as long as Activision promises not to do it again.

The lawsuit notes that both Overwatch and Call of Duty are massively successful games, and that their respective pro leagues “have generated hundreds of millions of dollars for Activision from franchise fees, sponsorship revenues, exclusive streaming deals with YouTube, and the Overwatch League’s television broadcast deal with Disney (including subsidiaries ESPN and ABC).” Like most other sports leagues, the Overwatch and Call of Duty leagues are made up of independently owned teams, who are in constant competition to sign and retain the best players.

“From the inception of each league, Activision and the teams agreed to impose rules that had the purpose and effect of substantially lessening competition for players by suppres…
